4.2 TELEPHONY, SOFTWARE,WAVE VOICE PORT

The number of Voice Ports specified in your license controls the number of H.323 and SIP enabled devices that can connect at any one time. Voice Port licenses apply to your entire WAVE Domain, but each WAVE Media Server is assigned a subset of those licenses, therefore each WAVE Media Server can only accept or make up to the number of calls equal to the number of Voice Port licenses assigned to it. If more than the allotted number of connections occur, then WAVE denies connection with all successive devices until one or more Voice Ports become available on that WAVE Media Server. Each WAVE VOICE PORT offers 1 simultaneous telephony lines. Note: Desktop Communicator with telephony and Advanced Desktop Communicator do not require Voice Port license. Note: The Voice Port is assigned to a Media Server. If a system requires a redundant Media Server, Additional Voice Ports must be purchased to allocate to the redundant Media Server.
