5.1 NETWORK INTEGRATION, STAGING SERVICE

Staging Service Staging the *Basic WAVE SW on the Customers’ equipment or in conjunction with supporting ordered hardware if applicable at our System Integration Centre in Berlin (SIC) provides an ideal environment for building the system. The System software load and system configuration is implemented according to specific customer specifications and requirements. The commissioning and configuration of the system will be undertaken by Motorola Solutions own experts to ensure that the system configuration is optimized to meet the customer requirements in the most efficient way. Testing the completed system at the SIC reduces quality risks by allowing any issues to be addressed in the factory environment; and customer witnessed Factory Acceptance Testing provides a proven baseline that the system meets customer requirements and system specifications in advance of field deployment. This approach reduces the number of technical issues that need to be resolved in the field, and is a cost effective way of delivering timely and problem free system deployment. This also allows GBN relevant interfaces to be configured and tested before shipment. (This service is limited to BASIC WAVE* configuration only. Specific additional install options might be required depending on the complexity of the ordered system such as Wireline or Wireless interface to Dimetra or MOTOTRBO LMR system, Additional Media/Proxy server, does not include a customer FAT).
